Take a first-look at the theatrical poster of Warner Bros.’ upcoming psychological thriller “Hereafter.”
The film stars Oscar® winner Matt Damon (“Good Will Hunting,” “Invictus”) and is directed by Academy Award® winner Clint Eastwood (“Million Dollar Baby,” “Unforgiven”) from a screenplay by two time Oscar® nominee Peter Morgan (“Frost/Nixon,” “The Queen”).
“Hereafter” tells the story of three people who are haunted by mortality in different ways. Matt Damon stars as George, a blue-collar American who has a special connection to the afterlife. On the other side of the world, Marie (Cécile de France), a French journalist, has a near-death experience that shakes her reality. And when Marcus (Frankie/George McLaren), a London schoolboy, loses the person closest to him, he desperately needs answers. Each on a path in search of the truth, their lives will intersect, forever changed by what they believe might—or must—exist in the hereafter.
The film also stars award-winning Belgian actress Cécile de France (“A Secret”) as Marie, and twins Frankie and George McLaren. The international cast also includes Jay Mohr (“Street Kings,” TV’s “Gary Unmarried”), Bryce Dallas Howard (“Eclipse,” “Spider-Man 3”), Marthe Keller, Thierry Neuvic and Derek Jacobi.
“Hereafter” is produced by Eastwood, multiple Oscar®-nominated producer Kathleen Kennedy (“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Munich,” “E.T.”) and two-time Oscar® nominee Robert Lorenz (“Letters from Iwo Jima,” “Mystic River”). Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Peter Morgan and Tim Moore served as executive producers.
Behind the scenes, Eastwood reunited with his longtime collaborators, including director of photography Tom Stern, production designer James J. Murakami, editors Joel Cox and Gary D. Roach, and costume designer Deborah Hopper.
“Hereafter” was filmed entirely on location in Paris, London, Hawaii and San Francisco.
Opening soon across SM Cinemas in the Philippines, “Hereafter” is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

THE KILLERS VOCALIST "BRANDON FLOWERS" PAYS TRIBUTE TO HOMETOWN IN FIRST SOLO ALBUM
Just like legends John Lennon, Sting, and Phil Collins, The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers has done the rare feat of releasing a chart-topping solo album after doing so with their famous band affiliations. Though his popular Las Vegas based-group is not yet officially disbanded, he has already proven that he’s a major attraction on his own.
Flowers’ “Flamingo” charted in the UK at number 1 this month, making it his fourth album to reach the topmost, including past work with the rest of The Killers.
The singer-keyboardist named his solo effort after his beloved hometown, and aptly titled one of the tracks, “Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas.” The album was released in both UK and US early this month; its first single “Crossfire,” released via airwaves on his birthday last June 21, came out with a music video featuring Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron..
"I grew up there, so it's close to my heart," the 29-year-old says of the Las Vegas downtown where he used to buy records. "I feel a responsibility to represent where I'm from, to defend it. It's a place that a lot of people loathe (but which) I can't help but love it. I grew up with a lot of people who couldn't wait to leave, and that was always strange to me. I feel a real connection to it. It's in my blood."
Giant label MCA Music is releasing the album in the Philippines in its Deluxe Edition which contains more tracks, significantly up from the original’s ten songs of mostly Flowers compositions. One collaboration, “Hard Enough” features singer-songwriter and Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis. The carrier track “Crossfire” is currently enjoying enormous success airplay wise on our local music channels Channel V and MYX and top radio stations nationwide
“Flamingo” comprises other sensational tracks like "Jilted Lovers and Broken Hearts," an upbeat arena rocker with the heartbeat of a dance floor classic, and “Magdalena” which he performed in “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Fresh tracks for the Deluxe package, which sports an alternative album cover, are “The Clock Was Tickin’,” “I Came Here to Get Over You,” Right Behind You,” and “Jacksonville.”
Early this year, The Killers were reported headed to the Philippines. That didn’t happen for reasons local fans know by now. Flowers himself summed up the situation: “We’re just at different places in our lives now.”
Though the famed quartet is not announcing an official dissolution, its main man putting out a record that essentially captures the excitement of The Killers is the next best thing there is to hearing new Killer tracks. It’s much in the same wavelength when the late George Harrison declared in the 70s that Beatles die-hards have only to listen to the Wings to hear what The Beatles must have sounded had they continued making records.

Neues SAW 3D Poster

Hier also ein paar Bilder:

Ach, btw. ein Ladies of Sci-Fi gab es natürlich auch. Inklusive Ripley aus ALIEN, Barbarella (woher wohl) und Pris aus Blade Runner. Jetzt sollte es aber auch reichen.^^

NEW “TRON: LEGACY” BANNERS UP
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, TRON: Legacy is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen.
In the film, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), a rebellious 27-year-old, is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn (Oscar®-winner Jeff Bridges), a man once known as the world’s leading video-game developer.
When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the old Flynn’s Arcade—a signal that could only come from his father—he finds himself pulled into a digital world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years.
With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe—a universe created by Kevin himself that has become far more advanced with never-before-imagined vehicles, weapons, landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.
Presented in Disney Digital 3D™ and scored by Grammy® Award-winning electronic music duo Daft Punk, TRON: Legacy hits SM Cinemas in the Philippine soon, in Disney Digital 3D™ and IMAX® 3D. The action-adventure is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International through Columbia Pictures.

FACEBOOK MOVIE “THE SOCIAL NETWORK” DEFINES OUR TIME
Every age has its visionaries who leave, in the wake of their genius, a changed world – but rarely without a battle over exactly what happened and who was there at the moment of creation.
In Columbia Pictures’ The Social Network, director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin explore the moment at which Facebook, the most revolutionary social phenomenon of the new century, was invented -- through the warring perspectives of the super-smart young men who each claimed to be there at its inception.
One drunken night in October of 2003, having just broken up with his girlfriend, Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg hacks into the university’s computers to create a site that forms a database of all the women on campus, then lines up two pictures next to each other and asks the user to choose which is “hotter.” He calls the site Facemash, and it instantly goes viral, crashing the entire Harvard system and generating campus-wide controversy over the site’s purported misogyny, and charges that Mark, in creating Facemash, intentionally breached security, violated copyrights and violated individual privacy.
Yet in that moment, the underlying framework for Facebook is born. Shortly after, Mark launches thefacebook.com, which will spread like wildfire from one screen to the next across Harvard, through the Ivy League to Silicon Valley, and then literally to the entire world.
But in the chaos of creation comes passionate conflict -- about how it all went down, and who deserves recognition for what is clearly developing into one of the century’s signal ideas –conflict that will divide friends and spur legal action.
To forge a palpable sense of that fog of creation, of history still being written, Sorkin and Fincher collaborated on a carefully constructed, non-aligned storytelling style that intentionally does not choose sides. Instead, the film presents a consortium of equally tricky narrators – each of whom believes he is in the right and that his particular memories are the truth of the matter – while leaving the larger questions of what really happened entirely open for the audience.
Ultimately, Sorkin’s screenplay defies the notion that there can be a single truth and he fully intends for this to provoke debate. Sums up the screenwriter: “I’ll be delighted if people have arguments in the theatre parking lot over it. With The Social Network, we took a set of facts, and we made a truth. In fact, more specifically, we made three truths. If you think of the facts that aren’t in dispute as dots that you have to connect, we connected those dots and we made a picture. But in between those dots are a) character, and b) the fact that you get to decide what the truth is. We don’t tell you ‘this is the only truth there is,’ we posit a handful of truths in pursuit of a larger true thing: the conditions that made all this possible.” Opening soon across SM Cinemas in the Philippines, The Social Network is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

JOSH LUCAS COMPLICATES LOVE STORY IN “LIFE AS WE KNOW IT”
Joining Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel in the wacky romantic comedy Life As We Know It is top actor Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama) who further complicates the already messed up arrangement of the two lead characters.
In the film, Holly Berenson (Heigl) is an up-and-coming caterer and Eric Messer (Duhamel) is a promising network sports director. After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they’ll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.
Lucas plays the other man in Holly’s life, Sam. “There were Joshes everywhere on this film,” says director Greg Berlanti, referring not only to two of his stars, but also to Heigl’s husband, Josh Kelly, who occasionally came to set. “You threw a rock, you hit a Josh,” Berlanti jokes.
Sam is a recently divorced doctor who is interested in Holly. Sam’s role in the film is surprising and poignant. Lucas says, “He basically comes into the place where Holly works and orders the same sandwich over and over, trying to get the gumption to ask her out. But circumstances cause them to keep missing each other.”
The filmmaker loved what Lucas brought to the role. “Josh Lucas is so inherently charismatic and likeable. As a director, you’re looking at a situation where there’s another leading man who has been on screen for 20 minutes, and this new guy has to come in and compete for the affections of the leading lady. Josh Lucas could do that, and you believed it. Sam is really comfortable with himself and his place in life, which is something that Messer really isn’t yet, and that’s appealing.”
Josh Lucas recently starred opposite Jon Hamm in Stolen, released in select theaters in March, and in the independent film William Vincent, opposite James Franco, which premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. Lucas recently finished production on the independent films Red Dog, with Rachael Taylor; A Year in Mooring, with James Cromwell; Little Murder, opposite Terrence Howard; and Daydream Nation, with Kat Denning. Opening soon across SM Cinemas in the Philippines, Life As We Know It is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Metroid Burlesque Show

MARK WAHLBERG, FROM TOUGH GUY TO “THE OTHER GUYS”
Mark Wahlberg, the Academy Award®-nominated actor known for his tough-guy action movie roles, in a comedy opposite Will Ferrell? This can only happen in Columbia Pictures' new action-comedy The Other Guys.
“I’ve been looking to do a comedy for a long time,” says Wahlberg. “I just wanted to make sure I was in the right hands. There were comedic elements to certain performances that I’ve done, but to do a full-blown comedy I wanted to make sure I was protected and who better to work with than the funniest guys in movies in my opinion, Will and [director] Adam [McKay.] They invited me to dinner and said they wanted to do a movie. I was like, ‘You got to be kidding me.’ I said, ‘I’ll do whatever you want.’”
Ferrell added, “We – Adam and I – are such big fans of Mark’s. We always thought he would be great in a comedy, playing a character that maybe is similar in some ways to the role he had in The Departed, but to utilize that intensity he has and play it for laughs.”
In the film, it takes all kinds to fill a police force – you got your superstars, the guys who get the medals, your hot shots, glory boys, vets – and then… there are the other guys. Guys like Detectives Allen Gamble (Ferrell) and Terry Hoitz (Wahlberg) who never make the headlines. But every cop has his or her day and soon Gamble and Hoitz stumble into a seemingly innocuous case no other detective wants to touch that could turn into the city’s biggest crime. It’s the opportunity of their lives, but do these guys have the right stuff?
“My character is obsessed with what he thinks is real crime: drug dealers, vice, murderers, and anything that's going on in the street,” says Wahlberg. “Will’s character’s whole attitude and approach to police work is paperwork. That’s all it basically comes down to – paperwork and white collar crime. But I’m stuck with him because of a mistake that I made.”
Wahlberg describes the pure pleasure and problems keeping professional while working with Ferrell. “The biggest concern for me was just looking at Will’s face,” says Wahlberg. “He’s just so funny that every once in a while I’d burst out laughing. Finally I’d look just to the left of him or just to the right of him and still appear as if I’m looking at him and reacting to what he’s doing, just to keep from laughing.”
Ferrell adds, “It’s so funny to get to know someone like Mark, who has this reputation as a tough guy. He’s actually a sweetheart and was dying to kind of do comedy like this. He wasn’t thrown by anything.”
“Mark is not only a great actor. He’s also a family man and also the guy who could kick anyone’s ass in the room, but also a jovial, lighthearted guy who in no way wants to kick anyone’s ass,” says McKay. “It was very interesting watching him interact with Will, who, of course, is famous for his insane temper and grotesque ego.”

4MINUTE'S NEW ALBUM - HITS RIGHT THROUGH YOUR HEART
Korean-pop fever is not showing signs of slowing down as the popularly talented 4Minute unleashes their new mini-album described as a delightful follow-up to “Muzik” that already scored the hits “What A Girl Wants,” “Hot Issue,” and the title track.
Giant label MCA Music has once again catered to the needs of K-pop fans in the Philippines with the release of “HuH,” pronounced as “Ha” and short for “Hit Your Heart.” The album was actually highlighted and launched in MCA’s recent KPOP United event held at the SM Megamall Event Center on September 4, 2010 where local fans expressed their thrill doing performances a la 4Minute.
The package boasts the album-title lead single, along with two more exciting tracks “I My Me Mine” and “Who’s Next” wherein members of the BEAST guest-performed. Interestingly, BEAST has also appeared in the music video for “HuH.”
Critics have agreed that “HuH” is showcasing a bolder and edgier group of the now-famous five pretty young things from South Korea, namely, JI HYUN, GA YOON, JI YOON, HYUN AH and SO HYUN. For the album and its supporting music videos, the girls have sported new hairstyles and sexier outfits.
With their fan-base here growing by the day, 4Minute visited the Philippines last February at a time when local fans’ interest in K-pop music reached fever pitch. The hot, charming and infectious quintet easily bewitched their Pinoy fans and gained even more supporters during their short but sweet stay. The album actually includes a DVD which features behind-the -scenes footage of their Philippine promo tour.
MCA Music, in partnership with Korea’s CUBE Entertainment released 4Minute’s first mini-album “Muzik,” its tracks having enjoyed heavy airplay by top music channels and radio stations. That wide exposure and strong fan demand made the group one of the most popular Korean acts to hit the country yet.

The group started its career in June of 2009. By now it has already received awards from their hometown such as Cyworld's Rookie of the Month, Korea's Cultural, Physical Education and Tourism Bureau: Rookie Music Award, SBS Power Rookie (August) and Golden Disk Awards Newcomer Award (shared with T-ara). They even topped in the neighboring Taiwan when they hit the number one spot in the country’s biggest music site, KKBOX.

SELENA GOMEZ | A YEAR WITHOUT RAIN
What do you do after the success of your first solo album, wrapping your third season starring in a hit series and earning raves for your movie debut? If you're Selena Gomez, you dance. At least, you get the world on its feet with "A Year Without Rain”. A follow-up to "Kiss & Tell," Selena’s gold-certified debut CD, "A Year Without Rain" shows Selena and her band, The Scene, in a whole new light, this one pulsating, multicolored and ready for the mirrored ball.
Selena’s first hit single “Round & Round” is an upbeat synth-driven song about reaching the limits of indecision in love. She credits the album’s neo-techno leanings to her 2010 platinum-certified single, “Naturally”, which also became an instant hit here in the Philippines. “That track really helped me figure out where I want to be," she says. “There’s a feeling when I perform that song that I love, so when I was going back in the studio, I had a better understanding of where I wanted to be musically”.
The album boasts songs like the plaintive "A Year Without Rain" may be more subdued, but its beauty impressed Selena enough to make it the title track.
In this album, Selena shows her matured side, but girls still wanna have fun, which is what songs like "Spotlight" "Off the Chain" and "Summer’s Not Hot" are all about. "Rock God" features none other than Katy Perry on backing vocals, while "Intuition" boasts a duet between Selena and rapper Eric Bellinger in a tricked-out double-time salute to a positive attitude.
Selena slows things down on "Ghost of You," a ravishing ballad about a breakup so rough, no amount of "living crazy loud" can crush the memory.
On the flip side, Selena comes back strong with "Sick of You," a Matt Squire-written and produced track about losing a loser. The album ends with "Live Like There’s No Tomorrow," an epic power ballad expressing the creed by which Selena has built her life and career.
The Deluxe edition of “A Year Without Rain” doesn’t only include chart topping tracks but also a DVD with over 50 minutes of behind the scenes look of Selena Gomez’ life on the road on her Europe tour, behind the scenes of her photo shoot, “A Year Without Rain” Video Shoot and behind the scenes, “Round & Round” music video and “Naturally” music video.
Having her own band has been a comfort for Selena as she hits the road with "A Year Without Rain." Scene members; Ethan Roberts (Guitar), Joey Clement (Bass), Greg Garman (Drums) and Dane Forrest (Keyboard) back her on tour and help shape her emerging sound.
That family feeling had grown to include fans around the world, each of them all in when it comes to following Selena Gomez on her amazing artistic journey. Where’s she headed? She’ll let you know when she gets there. "I’m still figuring out who I am," she says. "I love expressing that through music, and through film. I feel at this moment in my life I couldn’t be happier."
Selena Gomez’ new album, “A Year Without Rain” Deluxe Edition (CD+DVD) is exclusively distributed by MCA Music.

R.I.P. Sally Menke

"According to The L.A. Times, Menke died whilst out on a hike with her dog on Monday night. Her body was found at the bottom of a ravine at 2am this morning when her family reported to police that she had failed to return home the previous night. The cause of death has yet to be established but some are speculating the extreme heat in L.A. this week overcame her, and she collapsed."
Sehr traurige Sache.

Verdammt epische Terminator Action Figur

"Paris by Night of the living Dead" - Kurzfilm
Ein weiteres Indiz dafür ist der Kurzfilm "Paris by Night of the living Dead".

EPIC! Ach, was rede ich da?

Also schnell zugreifen...^^

"The Walking Dead" - Behind the Scenes Video
Freu!

Freitag Abend of Death

Zum Schluss noch ein Lied zum Samstag: New Order - Temptation
Gestern in meiner Playlist "entdeckt"

MAROON 5 RELEASES NEW ALBUM – “HANDS ALL OVER”
Maroon 5 have released two multi-platinum studio albums, “Songs About Jane” in 2002 and “It Won't Be Soon Before Long” in 2007, scored a string of hit singles, "This Love," "She Will Be Loved”, "Sunday Morning," and "Makes Me Wonder". All of which have won three Grammy Awards and sold 15 million albums around the world. Now the Los Angeles quintet is back with its third-studio album, entitled “Hands All Over” - a killer hybrid of rock, pop, funk, and R&B, that showcases the band's considerable strengths: buoyant, unforgettable melodies, sleek, stylish grooves, charged lyrics about turbulent relationships, and crisp, dynamic performances.
Adam Levine, the band's lyricist, began writing the songs that appear on Hands All Over after winding down from a world tour in support of It Won't Be Soon Before Long. A few months later, Maroon 5 received a phone call from veteran studio wizard Robert John "Mutt" Lange (AC/DC, Foreigner, The Cars), who had heard that Maroon 5 were beginning to write a new album and expressed an interest in producing it. "We didn't even talk to anyone else," Levine says. "Mutt is undeniably one of the most successful producers who's ever lived."
In July 2009, the members of Maroon 5 - Levine, keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, guitarist James Valentine, and drummer Matt Flynn - decamped to Lange's studio in Vevey, Switzerland, on the north shore of Lake Geneva where they worked distraction-free with the Swiss Alps looming in the distance. "Just being near those majestic mountains and lakes was so inspiring," says Jesse Carmichael. "Waking up and seeing these giant snow-capped peaks, it set the tone for the record and made the whole thing feel like some sort of magical summer camp experience." Adds Carmichael: "Mutt really helped us play to the best of our ability. And it drove us to be bigger and better than ever. Everything he does is huge."
"Huge" is a good way to describe Hands All Over, starting with the hard-rocking title track that is heavier than anything Maroon 5 has ever done. Says Valentine: "It doesn't sound like anything we've done so far." Another stylistic departure is "Out of Goodbyes," a stunning country ballad that features musical and vocal contributions from Nashville chart-toppers Lady Antebellum. "We've always loved country music," Levine says, "and they brought that necessary twang to it with the lap steels, ambient guitar, and Hillary Scott's pretty country voice." Other highlights include the deeply groovy "Don't Know Much About That," the propulsive "Stutter" ("a great showcase for Adam's voice," Valentine says) and "Misery," which will thrill long-time Maroon 5 fans with its funky guitars and high-stepping melody.
“Misery” is the band’s hit single from their new album, with its funky guitars and high-stepping melody has topped the US Billboard charts and the major radio stations in the Philippines. Written by Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, and Sam Farrar, the song is about the vocalist of the group finding himself in a difficult situation when a relationship fades. Maroon 5 is set to release their second single “Give A Little More” from their new album.
MCA Music gives a little more with the release of Maroon 5’s new album, “Hands All Over” as it offers the DELUXE edition featuring 6 BONUS TRACKS including the acoustic version of “Misery” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” plus a live cover of Alicia Key’s “If I Ain’t Got You”.
Hands All Over is as accessible and broadly appealing as anything the band has ever done, including their breakthrough smash Songs About Jane. "Every record should be like our first, that's the way we think about it," Levine says. "We don't ever want to rest on our laurels or get too cozy. We always want to keep aspiring to do our best - and this album captures that."
MAROON 5’S NEW ALBUM, “HANDS ALL OVER” IS EXCLUSIVELY DISTRIBUTED BY MCA MUSIC.

CHARICE!!!! NO.04 SPOT IN BILLBOARD'S "21 UNDER 21" (See the full list here!)
They're young, they're on a white-hot winning streak, and most importantly, they're just getting started: These are Billboard.com's "21 Under 21," selected not only for their tender age but also for their potential to rule the pop culture zeitgeist over the next 12 months.
Whether it's a country star whose every song lyric demands hours of analysis (Is she singing about Joe, Taylor or Kanye?!), a beloved breakout character on TV's hottest high school musical, or a newcomer who landed a record deal on the strength of one Lady Gaga cover, expect them all to to keep us watching -- and listening -- in the year to come. On to the countdown of our picks!
No. 21: Sean Kingston
Birthday: February 3, 1990 (age 20)
Why He's Hot: A rapper at heart, Sean Kingston (real name Kisean Anderson) initially charmed music fans with the reggae-pop vocals on his breakthrough hit "Beautiful Girls." The song stayed at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks in 2007 and also enticed Beyonce to book Kingston as her tour's opening act. The Miami native matured his sound on his dancefloor-ready top 5 2009 single "Fire Burning," and what's next will heat up the charts as well. Kingston's mixtape with Justin Bieber, "Our World," will be released later this fall, while Kingston has released two hit singles, "Letting Go (Dutty Love)" and "Dumb Love," from his upcoming album, which should hit shelves in early 2011.
No. 20: Cody Simpson
Birthday: January 11, 1997 (age 13)
Why He's Hot: If you're looking for the next teen pop heartthrob with a great haircut and international cache, Cody Simpson's your man. The 13-year-old Australian joined the fray this summer with "iYiYiYi," an ultra-catchy debut single featuring Flo Rida, and his debut album for Atlantic Records is now in the works. Comparisons to Justin Bieber are inevitable, but Simpson doesn't mind following in said star's footsteps: "Being compared to someone who's already been really successful is flattering," the singer recently told Radio Disney. How's that for showbiz smarts?
No. 19: Nikki Yanofsky
No. 19: Nikki Yanofsky
Birthday: February 8, 1994 (age 16)
Why She's Hot: Canadian jazz-pop singer Nikki Yanofsky might not be a household name yet in the U.S., but the 16-year-old up-and-comer has dazzled our northern neighbors with two successful solo albums, a no. 1 song ("I Believe") on the Canadian Hot 100 and buzzed-about performances at the 2010 Winter Olympic opening and closing ceremonies. Yanofsky's star will continue to rise when she tours the States this fall and releases her "Nikki" album overseas later this year.
No. 18: New Boyz
Birthday: Ben J: October 13, 1991 (age 18); Legacy: October 12, 1991 (age 18)
Why They're Hot: The New Boyz broke onto the scene in early 2009 with their hit song "You're a Jerk," and helped front the "Jerkin'" global dance craze. The dynamic So-Cal duo is prepping the release of their sophomore album, "Too Cool to Care," due later this year, and their latest single, "Break My Bank," is currently at No. 63 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and climbing. The Boyz also recently wrapped filming a movie directed by Mario Van Peebles called "Where Da Party At?" which is getting large comparisons to the 1990's Kid 'n Play flick "House Party."
No. 17: Never Shout Never
Birthday: Christofer Drew Ingle: February 11, 1990 (age 20)
Why He's Hot: Thousands of unknown musicians drop their music on the Internet, praying to get discovered. Not all of them wind up cracking the Billboard Top 20 three years later. But that's what happened to Joplin, Missouri's Christofer Drew Ingle after he christened himself Never Shout Never and began dropping his bubbly guitar pop-tunes on the MySpace. Ingle is currently being chased through malls by the masses of screaming girls that helped his new album "Harmony" debut at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 in August.
No. 16: Wonder Girls
Birthdates: Sun: August 12, 1989 (age 21); Yenny: May 26, 1989 (age 21); SoHee: June 27, 1992 (age 18); YuBin: October 4, 1988 (age 21); HyeLim: September 1, 1992 (age 18)
Why They're Hot: A few of South Korea's appropriately named Wonder Girls have already reached our legal drinking age. So what? Before the group's SoHee and HyeLim celebrate their 21st b'days, the quintet -- whose 2009 debut U.S. single "Nobody" made them the first Korean group to crack the Billboard Hot 100 -- will have dropped their first English-language album (scheduled for release in Jan. 2011) and saturated our airwaves with their infectious pop harmonies. We'll drink to that.
No. 15: Diggy Simmons
Birthdate: March 21, 1995 (age 15)
Why He's Hot: Aside from being the pretty boy, fashion-forward son of Run DMC's Reverend Run, Diggy Simmons is garnering attention for his formidable rapping skills. After releasing a mixtape titled "The First Flight" in December 2009, and freestyling over Drake's "Over" and Nas' "Made You Look," Diggy got signed to Atlantic Records in early 2010. He recently released his follow-up mixtape, "Airborne," and -- taking cue from his older sisters -- launched his own sneaker line, "Chivalrous Culture." Diggy's 230,000 (and counting) Twitter followers are counting the days until the release of his debut album, which he is currently recording.
No. 14: Miranda Cosgrove
Birthdate: May 14, 1993 (age 17)
Why She's Hot: Miranda Cosgrove learned a lot from the "School of Rock" … and by that, we mean the 2003 Jack Black comedy where she made her film debut. After breaking out on Nickelodeon's "Drake & Josh" in 2004 and starring in the network's hit comedy "iCarly," Miranda Cosgrove crashed the top 10 of the Billboard 200 with her debut album 'Sparks Fly," which peaked at No. 8 last spring. While more music is sure to come, Cosgrove is currently cashing in on her "iCarly" success -- Nickelodeon reportedly gave the starlet a seven-figure deal last March.
No. 13: Chris Colfer
Birthdate: May 27, 1990 (age 20)
Why He's Hot: He portrays underdog diva Kurt Hummel on Fox's "Glee," but make no mistake -- Colvis, California's Chris Colfer is a bona fide champ in every way. Colfer's flaming falsetto helped inspire 12 million people to tune in to the season 2 premiere of "Glee" in September, and "Defying Gravity,'' his duet with Lea Michele (Rachel) remains the second most downloaded song from the show's catalog. With new Gleeks being born every day, we're confident Kurt's coming out party is just getting started.
No. 12: Taylor Momsen
Birthdate: July 26, 1993 (age 17)
Why She's Hot: As the Twitter generation's resident bad girl, Taylor Momsen knows how to gin up a controversy or two. The "Gossip Girl" star steadily earned rock 'n' roll points this year by shunning the likes of Rihanna and Miley, and fronting her own band the Pretty Reckless, in which she strips down to racy lingerie in music videos and occasionally catches heat for adopting Courtney Love's grunge-goddess persona. Critics be damned, though, because between TV, music and her new gig as a spokesmodel for Material Girl, the clothing line helmed byMadonna's daughter Lourdes, Momsen's got her market cornered.
No. 11: Lex Luger
Birthday: March 6, 1991 (age 19)
Why He's Hot: You may not know producer Lex Luger by name (yet), but if you've been blasting rapper Rick Ross' current album orWaka Flocka Flame's latest single, you're definitely familiar with his skills. The 19-year-old Virginia-born, Atlanta-raised studio whiz is responsible for chart bangers like Ross' "B.M.F." and "MC Hammer," and Waka's "Hard in the Paint," among others. He's also working withFabolous and Kanye West on their upcoming albums, among other top-notch artists, and is set to become one of the most sought-after producers in the game over the next 12 months. Swizz Beatz better watch his back.
No. 10: Miley Cyrus
Birthdate: November 23, 1992 (age 17)
Why She's Hot: She was cast as Hannah Montana at age 12, and when the show premiered to the Disney Channel's largest audience ever, Cyrus was an instant teen idol. The "Hannah Montana" franchise has spawned four seasons, a string of hit singles, a full-length movie and enough branded merchandise to fill up a middle school gymnasium. Cyrus' ascent toward adult famedom ramped up earlier this year, when she released a more mature-sounding album, "Can't Be Tamed" in June. The album didn't quite tame the charts though, and Miley appears to be focusing more on her acting career with three films ("LOL: Laughing Outloud," "Wake" and "Wings") in the works. Still, we don't expect the unflappable Miss Cyrus to stay away from the record studio for too long.
No.09: Greyson Chance
Birthdate: August 16, 1997 (age 13)
Why He's Hot: Anyone who can reinvent a hit by Lady Gaga deserves a close listen -- and when that person is just 12 years old it deserves roughy 32 million close listens, and counting. When the now-teenage Oklahoma native sang "Paparazzi" at his school talent show with the flair of someone who's been in the music game for years, he became a overnight viral phenom. A r ecord deal quickly followed, and Chance now shares managers with none other than his idol, Gaga, and her own progenitor, Madonna. Look for Chance to make another big splash this fall, when he drops his rock-inspired debut album.

Just a few days later, the fashionable pint-sized singer was signed to none other than Jay-Z's Roc Nation label and is rumored to be starting her own clothing line. She recently released a teaser to the video and is said to begin working on her debut project soon. Big brother Jaden may have the eyes of Hollywood on him, but it's Willow who is going to own your ears.
No. 06: Nick Jonas
Birthdate: September 16, 1992 (age 18)
Why He's Hot: Sure, the youngest JoBro was voted Pop's Sexiest Man in our 2010 poll, but Nicholas Jerry Jonas is more than a pretty face. In February, Nick broke from his band of brothers and release the first album by his more mature side project, Nick Jonas & the Administration. This summer, he rejoined the trio to star in a hit Disney flick ('Camp Rock 2') and took the show on the road for a huge world tour. And yeah, his big brown eyes and luscious locks don't hurt to look at hurt, either.
No. 05: Soulja Boy Tell 'Em
Birthdate: July 28, 1990 (age 20)
Why He's Hot: Recent Kat Stacks drama aside, Soulja Boy remains high on our list of young hitmakers. The rapper/producer shot to fame in 2007 with his single "Crank That," which sparked an accompanying dance craze and became a Hot 100 No. 1 hit. In the three years since, Soulja (aka DeAndre Cortez Way ) has notched three more top 20 singles on the Hot 100 chart and released and a pair of albums that hit no. 1 ("Souljaboytellem.com") and no. 2 ("iSouljaBoyTellEm") on the Billboard Rap Albums chart. Soulja is readying his upcoming album "The DeAndre Way," due Nov. 2, and recently signed rapper Lil B to his SODMG label.
No. 04: Charice
Birthdate: May 10, 1992 (age 18)
Why She's Hot: Oprah and "Glee": they're two of TV's most powerful zeitgeist-definers, and both have fallen head over heels for Charice Pempengco. Credit the Queen of All Media for plucking the Filipina sensation from obscurity two years ago and introducing her toCeline Dion. The hype finally paid off this spring, when Charice debuted in the Billboard 200 top 10 with her first U.S. album. But its Fox's high school musical hit, on which she now plays a foreign exchange studentwith killer pipes to match Rachel Berry's, where Charice will show millions of Gleeks that she can out-sing the best of them.
No. 03: Selena Gomez
Birthdate: July 22, 1992 (age 18)
Why She's Hot: Selena Gomez is best known for starring on Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place," but her pop music prowess grows every day. The just-turned 18-year-old and her band the Scene's sophomore album, "A Year Without Rain," is poised for a top 10 arrival on the Billboard 200 next week, while the title track just debuted in the top 40 of the Hot 100. Miley Cyrus might be the apple of every paparazzo's eye, but this Disney diva -- with her ultra-catchy dance-pop and girl-next-door demeanor -- is poised for a truly bright first year of adulthood.
No. 02: Justin Bieber
Birthdate: March 1, 1994 (age 16)
Why He's Hot: Bieber fever may have spread last year, but it exploded to a full-on pandemic in March, when the 16-year-old Canadian debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with "My World 2.0." The Biebs has been a top 10 mainstay on the chart ever since, and he's set to branch out with a book and 3D movie in the coming months. The Madison Square Garden stop of Bieber's sold-out arena tour, during which he brought out everyone from Usher to Miley Cyrus, only further proved his starpower. Frolicking beachside with Kim Kardashian didn't hurt, either.
No. 01: Taylor Swift
Birthdate: December 13, 1989 (age 20)
Why She's Hot: Ms. Swift may have been dissed by Kanyewhile the world was watching, but she handled "Taylorgate" with the class of a woman rather than a teenager. Perhaps it's because, at the ripe old age of 20, Swift is already a veteran in the music game. At age 14, she became the youngest staff songwriter in the history of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, and two years later, she landed on the charts with her first hit single, "Tim McGraw." Since then, Taylor's rise has indeed been swift; her sophomore LP "Fearless" ruled as 2009's top-selling album, and was awarded that year's Album of the Year Grammy. Now, the CMA Entertainer of the Year is set to do it all again - "Mine," the first single from her new album "Speak Now," is a Hot 100 smash and "Innocent," the song she penned about her run-in with Kanye, is already a viral sensation, thanks to its buzzed-about debut on this year's VMAs. Lots of young stars will be making waves over the next year, but Taylor is geared up to hit the music world like a tsunami. Brace for the impact.
