There's more than looks in Henry Cavill. I personally have liked him in 'Immortals' but I somehow grunted upon seeing him on 'The Cold Light of Day'. In conclusion...yeah, it was "fluctuation" that is more than looks in Cavill. Perhaps I am judging too soon; perhaps I'm just good in foretelling this one. Eitherway, we are all going to see him as Superman in the anticipated DC giga-production, 'Man Of Steel'.
Superman movies ended with the Brandon Routh version which was rather passable and servicing well enough to make the audience settle. DC however thinks that a reboot may be a very good treat and I couldn't agree more. Hence, this reboot. As far as comic book movie reboots go, we will be heading to an origin story: Superman (Henry Cavill), as a child was sent to Earth from a dying planet Krypton. As Clark Kent (adopted by a kind family from Kansas) grows, he becomes photographer and gradually, eventually discover his extraordinary powers meant to save the good from evil.
I have really really high hopes for this retake of Superman. There is a very wise choice of cast attached including Amy Adams who I personally think will be a very good Lois Lane and Russell--freaking--Crowe. I'd watch anything Crowe will appear on. Plus, the director of the film Zack Snyder, the dude behind '300' and 'Watchmen', the latter being one of the most seasoned comic book movies so far. But wait, there's more? [and boy do I sound like a TV infomercial in a shopping network] Christopher Nolan is producing, so I'm pretty certain this is going to be good.
