Another Spielbergian is yet to rouse and this time it's Lincoln, a historical drama centered on the US President, and how legendary were the actions he took, that abolished slavery and promoted unity in his final months as the country's leader. Abraham Lincoln is played by Daniel Day-Lewis.
Based on the non-fiction book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin, the film is running on a script by Tony Kushner. Steven Spielberg (Jaws, Jurrasic Park) is helping in the course of making the pic, with co-producer Kathleen Kennedy. Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones are all to join Lewis in the cast.
Google Play recently released a teaser for the upcoming trailer of the pic, leaving us more and more intrigued. The clip below shall last only for forty seconds, but kicks. Watch out for the full trailer September 13, 2012 4:00 pm PT.
The Dreamworks/Fox collab is due on theaters November 9th!
