Jim here. Seems JONAS BROTHERS: THE 3D CONCERT EXPERIENCE has more than 3 dimensions as it plays first place at the box office quite well with a $4.8 million opening Friday. The strong start sets the stage for a $20m + weekend for the 'tween concert movie.Sure, it is not matching the love affair 'tweens has with Hannah Montana last year, but hey - first place is first place. Great to have a 3D movie sitting in the drivers seat!
CORALINE dropped to $1.1 million Friday, but still made the top ten - hard to see that tough hit to it's bottom line by losing all those 3D screens. Still, CORALINE's presence is being felt.
