Info Post
My friend Betsy Schiffman over at WIRED has posted on their blog network that Dolby just dropped their prices for their rather expensive and reusable 3D glasses from $39 to $27.50 and then linked to yours truly and our upcoming 3D movie list.

How much of a splash will the Dolby price reduction have for theater owners remains to be seen, but with only one major player yet to confirm their intentions (I am not going to mention any names, but their initials are AMC) for their 3D projection technology, it seems a little late.

Both Cinemark and Regal opted for the rapidly growing Real D technology, as well as many others including NATO's Cinema Buyers Group of independant theater owners.

Full disclosure: Real D is a sponsor of MarketSaw.
