Hey folks, Michael here. Hugh Jackman just came out at the end of the Fox panel to rapturous applause, literally right off the plane from Australia after wrapping the Wolverine shoot merely hours ago!
After telling the audience how much he had always wanted to bring X-Men to Comic-Con, he played an AWESOME trailer. Gambit was shown throwing charged cards in a fanlike pattern, Sabretooth, Deadpool, and a few other mutants were present, the adamantium bonding process was shown, and there was a kickass action scene involving military vehicles, a helicopter, and claws. The movie looks very much in the realistic vein of The Dark Knight. And with an amazing director in Gavin Hood, we'll all hopefully be in for something special come May 1, 2009!
P.S. No Avatar announcements, but the Wolverine surprise was really cool. The audience went insane!
