Hi all - Jim here. Johnny Depp has accepted the role of The Mad Matter in Tim Burton's 3D fantasy epic ALICE IN WONDERLAND. While there was some talk of the role going to a lesser known actor, ultimately I think we all knew that Depp BELONGED in this flick somehow and if the role of Alice was really going to an actress, then what would the next plum role be? Of course. It all kinda makes mad sense.So what does this mean for the movie? Well obviously AIW3D is going to have an edge to it and just how far will Burton take that edge is anyone's guess. The man has a blank slate in front of him and a full palette of imagination - that is SCARY in his hands! Should make for a simple awesome stereoscopic movie.
