Info Post

"I thought we would be safe forever, but 'forever' isn't as long as I'd hoped," the red-eyed Bella Swan-Cullen shrugs. I really thought so too, Bella. Until four years ago I came across this movie about vamps called 'Twilight' and it had this really crazy idea that vampires doesn't have to be "that" terrifying anymore. And honestly, as far as ideas go, this has got to be the dumbest. The terrifying picture of a vampire could have lived forever, but as it turned out, it isn't long enough. Not until when 'Twilight' made debut on the big screen. Now get angry at me and sport your expressionless face, will you? Bill Condon's other half of the final chapter of the interminable saga is nowhere near to save the bleeding franchise (I can bet my ass not commercially), but does a well job in putting a larger-than-life journey to a close.

I'm clearly not crazy over some sparkling vamps under the sun. I only have watched the saga from Twlight up to New Moon and after that I called quits. But you don't need to be a desperate "Twi-heart" to follow the story that is more of a conclusion rather than a complete narrative. After the last film's events (which I obviously haven't watched), Bella (Kristen Stewart), who is now turned to a vampire gave birth to her half-undead half-human oftentimes made of CGI daughter. The fashion sensible coven of upper vampires called "Volturi" thinks that Bella's daughter poses a threat to their existence. Friends, family and the wolves aid Bella and her family as Volturi comes for confrontation.

If there is one thing that I liked about Twilight is Ashley's character (played by Ashley Green from The Apparition). In all the three films I've watched from the saga, she appears easy on the eyes and likable enough that I was able to find something in the movie to hold on to. Kristen Stewart's satisfactory acting is to be found, but her expression problems are equally visible. "YOU NICKNAMED MY DAUGHTER AFTER THE LOCH NESS MONSTER????!!!!" Bella is obviously furious, but Stewart's face doesn't tell it at all. Her chemistry with the other two leads dropped with gravity. Robert Patterson who played as her vampire beau, Edward Cullen, feels disconnected for whatever reason; and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) doesn't seem intent on winning Bella back.

There's an action-packed final confrontation that will boggle your mind to extremity, and I don't mean it in a positive or negative way. I'm plainly saying that it will leave you flabbergasted. Turns out, Breaking Dawn Part 2 isn't loathing after all. The fact that it isn't so terrible and it officially closes the seemingly incessant series work for me. Now make real vampire movies next! C+
