Info Post

Les Misérables star Hugh Jackman is coming aboard as Wolverine in the upcoming superhero blockbuster and latest X-chapter, X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer confirms, as usual, via his Twitter account. Check out the tweet below.

Jackman will join the rest of the confirmed actors: Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult and The Hunger Games's Jennifer Lawrence.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is the prequel to the original trilogy following the first one X-Men: First Class (directed by Matthew Vaughn) in which Wolverine also appeared (in a cameo role) as one of the early prospects as students of the academy. This of course is some good news - the cast is practically complete. Now work on the damn movie already! I can't honestly wait any longer.

Singer's Days of Future Past follows the X-Men as they travel in time to stop the killing of an important person in the government that could harm the existence of man and mutants in all of the world. Based on "Uncanny X-Men" #141 and #142, the script is penned by Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes).

The musical film Les Misérables will open in theaters this yuletide and the standalone X-Men movie The Wolverine, July 26. X-Men: Days of Future Past, meanwhile, is slated for July 18 release in 2014.

What are your thoughts on this?
