Info Post

For weeks in this blog I have been talking about Star Wars: Episode VII, and guess what: still no director. Director Jon Favreau (Cowboys VS Aliens) who has recently expressed openness to the project, and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (what's happening with the trilogy, anyway, right now?) director David Fincher appears to be two of the very few people who seek to take on the humongous project, as Mike Fleming of Deadline reports.

"I've also heard Jon Favreau is panting after this job, and even that David Fincher, who apparently worked for Lucas’s ILM in a menial job as a teen, might be game for one of these new films. Unfortunately, we are getting nothing out of Lucas Land on what they call speculation. I broke a story recently that Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg will write future Star Wars installments, most likely the second and third installments of the new trilogy, I’d heard. Lucas, through Disney, denied every speck of this, but I ran it anyway. They won’t comment or clarify these things because they want to announce it themselves on their own Twitter or website or whatever they’ve got," says the reporter.

Everyone seem to be silent about the project which only caused greater uproar from fanboys. Very little details have been confirmed, including the two-year interval between three of the following Star Wars installments. Episode VII is being penned by Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) who is also at work on the script for the upcoming Hunger Games sequel, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
