New Kelly Clarkson Album Coming in March?

Kelly Clarkson confirmed yesterday on her Facebook page that her new album, tentatively-titled "May," will "supposedly" be released in March. The announcement in question has since been removed, but screencapsof the post capture the singer's response to a fan question of when to expect the album. No further word from the singer's camp has been released on the matter. ( ONTD via Entertainment Weekly)


Timbaland Launches Music Giveaway Series

Producer Timbaland launched his music giveaway series #TimbalandThursdays, which gives away a new track each Thursday (a la Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Fridays series), today. The first song, "Take Your Clothes Off" feat. Missy Elliott, premiered today. (Vibe)


Gorillaz Add Fifth Member

Cartoon band Gorillaz have announced the addition of a fifth member to its ranks. Going by the name "The Evangelist," the character was chosen following a contest spearheaded by the animated group's artist, Jamie Hewlett. Among other features, The Evangelist possesses a fish tank atop its head, and is a stark contrast to the primate-like original Gorillaz. (Gorillaz.com)


"The Cleveland Show" to Feature Glee Cast

This Sunday's (Jan. 16) episode of the animated Fox hit "The Cleveland Show" will feature the cast of "Glee" in a quick cutaway. According to "Cleveland Show" creator Rich Appel, the scene was shot about a year ago. "If I had known what a phenomenon the show was going to become, I would have had Lea Michele do more than sing one long note," Appel said. ( NY Mag)


Record Store Day Set for April 16

Record Store Day, the yearly celebration of record stores across the country, will be held again in 2011. In its fourth year, the event will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Christina Perri Announces Tour With James Blunt

Christina Perri, the singer behind breakout hit "Jar of Hearts," announced today that she will tour with the "You're Beautiful" Grammy nominee James Blunt. Kicking off April 20 and lasting through May 8, the short run of dates will be Perri's first-ever U.S. tour. The singer is currently in the studio recording her debut full-length, titled "lovestrong," which is slated for an April release on Atlantic.
