Info Post

We have landed on the full-length trailer for Oz, The Great And Wonderful, which debuted its teaser trailer back in July. The trailer stays true in it's initial format, following Oz as a small-time Kansas native doing tricks in fairs (in black-and-white and then transits to hyper-produced color palettes) until he magically departs to his magical destination. The trailer honestly looks promising and even if it didn't, it's Sam Raimi...and that's enough.

Sam Raimi's prequel to the fantastical tale of Wizard Of Oz pivots around The Wizard Of Oz (James Franco) and his arrival and eventual reign in Oz. Over a century has passed when it first appeared on print  (L. Frank Baum's novel) and the tale remains a favorite, Oz, The Great And Wonderful finally tells a back story to the great Wizard Of Oz.

The movie stars Michelle Williams (Brokeback Mountain), Rachel Weisz (The Deep Blue Sea) and Mila Kunis (Black Swan) as the Witches of Oz. Joey King (Ramona and Beezus), Zach Brass (The Last Kiss), Abigail Spencer (Cowboys and Aliens) and Martin Klebba (Pirates of the Caribbean) are also joining. The movie is written for film by scribe Mitchell Kapner (The Whole Nine Yards) with Snow White and the Huntsman producer Joe Roth producing, and Grant Curtis, Palak Patel and Philip Steuer exec producing.

Disney's fantasia epic is reaching the screens 8th of March next year.
