Info Post

There's no surprise in the demand to putting Salt back on screen. Angelina Jolie as a badass spy with an endlessly beautiful trout lips explains why. The sequel to the espionage flick is officially cooking. Tapping Seven Years In Tibet scribe Becky Johnston on the shoulder to write the film seems to be the first step in the entire procedure.

In the first movie, Jolie plays a Russian sleeper agent who is assigned to the assassination of the U.S. president. A middling critical success if compared with the money that it rolled in last year which is approximately $300. Additional reason why a sequel shouldn't be surprising.

Kurt Wimmel (who wrote the first movie and the recent Total Recall remake) was originally hired to pen a sequel, but his take on the movie doesn't exactly satisfy Jolie and the rest of the party so they headed on for a year-long scribe search. Hence, Johnston in negotiations.

Details are soon to emerge and they will be posted here.
