Info Post
"I like the way you die, boy," Django with a silent-D slings a gunshot. After the newest Quentin Tarantino fantasia, Django Unchained, Jamie Foxx is tapped to play a villain role for the Spider-Man sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This is according to Variety, who adds the rumor that Foxx might play Electro. To those who doesn't know him, he first appeared on the 9th issue of the same-name comic, as a lineman who was electrocuted while working on a power line leading to a mutagenic change that turned him to a living and breathing electric capacitor.

Foxx, who has proved to be one of the best character actors of our generation, meanwhile, recently tweeted: "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well.". As much of a confirmation as it is, fanboys are to wait for some real confirmation, which is likely to follow anyway.

Fans are on chaos about Foxx, if ever nabbing the role of Electro, who is originally white in the comics, claiming that Foxx would make a better Black Panther, which I totally agree on. Foxx, nonetheless, is a great actor, and having this kind of an actor to play such a black-and-white character means salvation to the whole material.

Meanwhile, Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) and Emma Stone (Easy A) are confirmed to be back on the sequel, due on theaters May 2nd, 2014. Shailene Woodley is officially playing Mary Jane Watson.
