Info Post
Twilight fans had to ditch all the quote: "alluring" Cullen drama, fade the fame and go low-key with this gloomy romantic drama Pattinson is the main lead. Remember Me talks about family, young love, and friendships. It was a pretty good attempt, but things didn't worked out kick-ass exactly.

Robert Pattinson starred and produced (Oh dear God, I didn't know he did) this romantic drama, fading out from the Twilight fame, and trying to confidently stir and move us by this story of young love in the setting of New York in the summer of 2001.

Tyler Hawkins is really pissed with his dad. After the loss of his son, ignoring his awkward 11-year old daughter, and being a work-a-holic, Charles Hawkins (Pierce Brosnan) keeps himself occupied to free his mind from the tragic event in the family. Tyler meets Ally (Emillie De Ravin), which stirs his life around and make his life from rebellious to sensible.

REMEMBER ME EFFECTS LIKE NO ROMANTIC. 'Tis the movie for romance enthusiast, yes? Then why the hell, even me, who is more drawn and moved by Thrillers and Actions, didn't felt the romance goin' on?? Director Allen Coulter, who is also the director of Hollywoodland didn't ignite the fire of the romance movie-hunters especially of the romance genre is looking for.

It was not convincing, with the plot too twisted and minor characters too involved. A truly comic and obnoxious roommate could be ditched of its major involvement by the two lovers's story. The character Aidan (Tate Ellington) persuades Tyler to hit on Ally, and just leave her once done. Of course, the "best friend" of the main lead proxies the couple in their trips, AND awkwardly shares a room with them.
Tate Ellington plays Aidan Hall, Tyler's best friend.
Pertinent to Aidan's persuading to Tyler: Of course we would expect that this will result to a conflict, and it does result to one. Him (Aidan) goading Tyler to play on ally to get back with the cop that celled them before is one of the bastard-est suggestions to a friend in real-life and in big screen. It pertains to the conflict, but the confrontation in the end would work just as well without the lame suggestion.

In the opening sequence we figure that Ally's mom was shot by crooks in the subway, only connoting connection with Tyler to their similar fate, both losing a loved one. We expect that this element of the film would stretch out the film to goodness, make it inspiring, yes it did. Only it was too much: stretched-out.

PETER BROSNAN AND ROBERT PATTINSON. OH GREAT. LIKE GREAT GREAT. I was happy to learn that Robert Pattinson is once a movie out of the Saga that I would be happy to see die, because I've seen one of those films (Twilight), and I thought Pattinson has raw acting skills. It was for the first time I saw Rob out of Twilight--and he did good. At least. Thanks to the Lord!

Rob P. plays a very good role of a loving brother and a sincerely pissed son out of love, which was one of Tyler Hawkin's most admirable trairts in this film. I was only bothered with the sequences that Tyler lost temper, him rushing in to his dad's office, and throwing a child's desk at school. His relationship with his sister was the most moving.

Peter Brosnan, his name rings a bell, perhaps he is from a movie I've watched before? Oh.. Mister Johnson from the year '91! It was stun-ning!! Anyway, he plays a grim and work-a-holic of too much, dad in this movie. His confrontation scene with Robert Pattinson was emotionally the most effective of all scenes.
Pierce Brosnan plays Charles Hawkins, he's a salvation to the fiilm!
There was one scene that I thought was very cinematic. I won't spoil it too you, but I'd give you a hint. The scene happened in the setting of New York, September 11th, 2011. You guys know it now, don't you??

Remember Me effects like a family drama. I am not really worried about it though. It was supposed to be a romantic drama, and if it should be that, then this one didn't effected well. An almost "good" drama, only mistakes barricades the door to "goodness". 3 stars!
