It's official: whether I get to date with someone or not, next year's Valentines will be my best with the release of the zombie romance-comedy Warm Bodies. A full-length trailer just landed online, which you will be able to see if you head on inside the post.
The movie, directed and written by Jonathan Levine (50/50), is set in a post-apocalyptic earth, conventionally dominated by throngs of flesh-eating zombies. Set amid the zombie apocalypse is R (played by Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: First Class), a zombie who inexplicably falls in love with a young human survivor named Julie (Teresa Palmer, I Am Number Four, The Sorcerer's Apprentice). Their love is so powerful that it could be the "cure" to the lifeless and emotionless Earth.
Warm Bodies also stars Dave Franco (yes, as in baby brother), John Malkovich (Burn After Reading), Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love.) and Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine). A pretty good cast if you ask me. And I know I would trash on this when it was first announced, now that the trailer came out I was shut out. It looks legitimately good. Check out the trailer below.
Warm Bodies opens on theaters February 1st next year.
