Samuel L. Jackson has confirmed to join David R. Ellis's Kite. This would be their second time working together after Snakes on a Plane.
"After [RoboCop], I'm going to do this live-action version of Kite, the Japanese anime," he told Movies.com. "I'll be doing a live-action version of that in Johannesburg."
Based on the popular video animation from Japan, Kite follows an orphan who is sexually abused as a child and eventually turns into an assassin on the quest to take down her father's killer. There hasn't been any much of development after Ellis took directorial duties, but details are likely to emerge soon.
No disclosure on what role Jackson is going to play, as there is none in all other details. We'll post them as soon as they come up.
Meanwhile, get to see some more Jackson in the future with Quentin Tarantino's new film Django Unchained, coming out this Christmas, Spike Lee's Oldboy and the hotly anticipated RoboCop remake.
