RIHANNA HOLLERS EXCITEMENT AND VERVE IN HER NEW ALBUM "LOUD"
Info Post
World-class megastar Rihanna has once more heightened the intensity of her tasteful music, smashing the charts with much more of her celebrated uptempo dance grooves with the release of her new album, Loud. “Yes it is called ‘Loud’,” Rihanna told fans while appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show. “Get loud everybody. Get crazy. Get excited. ‘Cause I’m pumped. I’m just gonna be me, because that's what you guys love the most, and that's what makes me feel best. Just being normal, normal for me is Loud!.” Perhaps what makes this particular album so unspoiled is that each song is tailor-fit to Rihanna’s persona and definitely no one but she could pull it off.
Setting the scene for Loud is the first lead single, “Only Girl (In The World)” which has been steaming off local music charts and club scenes in the metro. This single’s debut became an instant hit across radio airplays indicating significant fate resembling that of Rihanna’s massive hits from her previous albums. Loud follows-up Rated R (November 2009) and its sequel Rated R: Remixed (May 2010). Previously, the double-platinum Good Girl Gone Bad (May 2007) contained the Grammy-winning global #1 hit “Umbrella” (featuring Jay-Z), then “Shut Up and Drive,” “Hate That I Love You” (featuring Ne-Yo), and “Don't Stop the Music.” The CD+DVD package Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (January 2009) continued the hits with the #1 “Take A Bow,” the #1 “Disturbia” and Top 20 “Rehab.” Good Girl Gone Bad was the third album release in less than two years by Barbados native Rihanna, who turned 22 on February 20th. It followed-up 2006’s RIAA platinum A Girl Like Me, which contained the back-to-back hits, “S.O.S.” and “Unfaithful”; and her RIAA gold debut from 2005, Music Of the Sun, featuring the world-wide smash, “Pon De Replay.”
On the threshold of her career, she already received several accolades, including the 2007 World Music Awards for World's Best-Selling Pop Female Artist and Female Entertainer of the Year, as well as the 2008 American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. Earlier this year, the RIAA double-platinum “Rude Boy” (the fifth multi-platinum certified song of Rihanna’s career) hit #1 on a slew of charts - including Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot 100 Airplay, and MediaBase’s Pop, Hot Dance Radio, Hot Dance Clubs, Rhythm, and Urban charts. With “Rude Boy”’s success, Rihanna became the first female artist of the past decade to chart six #1’s on the Hot 100 - and tied Madonna in first place with seven #1’s on the Hot Dance Airplay chart (launched in 2003). Along with her successful concert in Manila last November 2008, Rihanna received double-recognition as she was presented with a platinum award by MCA Music, Inc. for her Good Girl Gone Bad album.
Having produced multi-platinum records over the past years, Rihanna is all set to make it even bigger this time. Sassy, fun, flirty, energetic –these words indeed aptly describe Loud. Her songs in this album, like “What’s My Name” (feat. Drake), “Skin” and “Cheers” give you a sense of a downright giggly and flirtatious Rihanna who wants a man to make her feel like a woman and she’s taking that message to the dancefloors by singing it out loud against a pulsating, club-ready beat, courtesy of the same team who brought her the OMG-so-catchy hit “Don’t Stop The Music.” How Rihanna continues to evolve, always giving a different edge and an entirely new perspective to each of the albums she has released proves her genuine artistry which is definitely noteworthy.
This deluxe album has 12 sizzling tracks including Rihanna’s chart-topping hit single feat. Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie” Part II plus a bonus DVD containing the making of the album.
