Word just came from Bloody-Disgusting that Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson and Andrew Astor are all returning to the supernatural horror sequel Insidious Chapter 2. The first two formers were ghost hunters in the first movie, while the latter is the boy whose body is haunted. Deadline also reported that Barbara Hershey (Black Swan) is also reprising her role in the first movie.
Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins have been previously confirmed to return.
James Wan (Dead Silence), who directed the original also return as director.
The movie will feature flashbacks from major characters to reveal the back story that lead to the horrendous incident happened in the first film (this does sound like a prequel, doesn't it?) Shooting is slated January 28 in LA in commitment to the movie's August 30th release.
All details remain undisclosed but they are likely to emerge soon enough, and we're posting.
