Pitch Perfect was one of the few sleeper hits of the year and easily was one of my favorite movies (I'm talking no horse crap here, I'm saying this because it's really good - and fun). A sequel isn't really a surprise and Universal Pictures seem to be all but hyped to start cooking the next movie, and the possible sequels after that.
The picture's lead-man Skylar Astin (Hamlet 2, Wreck-It Ralph) sat down with Movieweb. "I do have a meeting with a Universal representative next week," he revealed. He also talked of co-star and standout Rebel Wilson (What to Expect When You're Expecting) had already talked with the studio. "And I know that Rebel Wilson had hers last weekend. It's definitely a talking point," he continued.
Pitch Perfect 2, kids, of course, is yet to be officially greenlighted and we'll have to wait before it finally does. It also depends on how the first one will do in the home entertainment department. See if it rolls in money the same that it did in its theatrical release.
Anna Kendrick (End of Watch) has no word on the possible sequel but is likely to come back. More like we hope her to comeback, but likely nonetheless.
