Info Post

Ignore the fact that Michael Bay (Transformers) worked behind cam on this, a new black comedy Pain & Gain. Just how leads Mark Wahlberg (Ted) and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) are great comedic actors, and support roles were being portrayed by Ed Harris (A Beautiful Mind), Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker), Tony Shalhoub (Men In Black) and Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect). Then, I'd be giddy to check this out.

The trailer honestly looks crap, chaotically unfunny when it conveys funny, the kind of crap you actually are interested in seeing. This marks the cheapest (the literal sense of the word) project that Bay has worked on (correct me if I'm wrong).

Following a pair of bodybuilders (this be Wahlberg and Johnson) who are caught up in a kidnapping scheme that horribly goes wrong. This, my friends, is very loosely based on a true event.

Meanwhile, Bay has been doing some tweaking in his gigantic robo-epic Transformers 4 in which Wahlberg also topbills. Read more about things Transformers-related here.
