Info Post

The development for Elysium is moving forward, but doesn't seem to be of decibels enough to be on people's radar. True, the development is silent, but development nonetheless. This means we get an action movie headlining Matt Damon, his next post-Bourne after The Adjustment Bureau. The sci-fi film will be under Neill Blomkamp's hands which is very good news and you've thought of this if you're smart. Blomkamp is only the director of the gritty District 9, one of my 21st century sci-fi favs (and I'm in faith that I'd represent a population here). Anyway, we've got a new photo from the film (credit: ScreenCrush) as we're currently at wait for any real first-look on the film.

Here's the full synopsis:
"In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn't stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds."
The film will star Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga, and Diego Luna and will be reaching screens August 9th next year. Sneak a peek on the photo below and tell me if you're crazy about it, or would rather to stay as mute.
