Info Post

Earlier this month, reports have told us that Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) may be playing villain in Marc Webb's (yep, he's returning) The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Foxx will take on the role of Electro, and I have visioned him bringing colors to the black-and-white character from the comics. Today over The Hollywood Reporter, details emerge for the Harry Osborne role (played by James Franco in Sam Raimi's trilogy), reporting a quartet of actors being tested.

We recently reported three other names that were initially considered for the role, add four to that as the following actors are auditioning today for the role. Names include Douglas Booth's (from LOL), Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Boyd Holbrook (The Reunion, The Host) and Eddie Redmayne from My Week with Marilyn, with Booth and Redmayne being very good looks for the fave comic book character. In the same previous post on the Osborne role, I told that Dane DeHaan would make good "crazy" as Harry and I remain firm on that opinion.

Meanwhile, Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) and Emma Stone (Easy A) are confirmed to be back on the sequel, due on theaters May 2nd, 2014. Shailene Woodley is officially playing Mary Jane Watson.

More news as we hear more.
