We won't be seeing The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - the hotly anticipated Hunger Games sequel - for another year and a day, but promotion has already kicked off, starting with its debut movie motion poster. There's nothing new to the motion poster (it looks a lot like the one from the first movie), showing Katniss's mockinjay pendant in stellar burning effect. But this marks the beginning of the countdown so it's definitely something. As usual, you can sneak into peeking the motion poster as you scroll down to the very end.
Based from the Hunger Games Trilogy by bestselling author Suzanne Collins, Catching Fire will pivot on the second book of the same name from the series. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks are reprising their roles. Joining them are newcomers to the franchise personifying fave characters from the books like Finnick Odair played by Sam Claflin. Among the other new names are Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jena Malone and Jeffrey Wright.
Directed by Francis Lawrence (who did I Am Legend *do not suck this up) and written by Michael Arndt (who is also at work for the next Star Wars movie's script), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will end the wait and finally reach the theaters November 22, 2013.
