Info Post

In final talks to direct the vampire action pic Undying Love is The Grey director Joe Carnahan (Deadline). The movie is based from a graphic novel of the same name by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman (illustration) who eventually translated the material into script. It pivots around an ex-military who falls in love with a woman vampire and in order to pursue the romance, he must take down the vampire's creator. The spin? Sonuvabitch creator's got protective walls - a throng of fighters from the Hong Kong underworld.

Alexander Aja was actually the first name offered, but for a bigger project came along which we all know is Horns, a supernatural movie sourced from Stephen King son, Joe Hill's novel. This leads us back to Carnahan, who is calling himself "in", even though it is obviously not his kind of his film. “I really took to it, and the metric I use is how fast I come up with ideas and an outline, and this brought about a bunch of ideas,” Carnahan said. “It is a little out of my wheelhouse, taking place in China with mysticism and swordplay, but there is a lot of potential here.”

Chris Bender, Stephen L'Heureux and J.C. Spink are among names that are attached to produce, but aside this, every details else are yet to be disclosed. But once they emerge, I'm posting, so always check back.
