The setup: An air borne virus epidemic spreads fast. As the time keeps on ticking, government and medical institutes are hurdling to find a cure to this disaster.
Tight-plot, punchy imagery, and a scary thought, Contagion is one film that is broiled with a delicious mixture of cast and skillful director. The always-reliable Matt Damon concludes the film as a confused, twisting, and chilling; however, recognitions are definitely to Mr. Jude Law (the awesome sidekick of Robert Downey, Jr. in the detective flick: Sherlock Holmes). He slays the entertainment of the film; it's Jude Law, expect anything. Also: Jennifer Ehle plays convincingly a committed scientist. Gwyneth Paltrow's death scene almost veers the film to the road of box-office. With music so disagreeing, that it became a perfect film to the flick, 'Contagion' looks like a complete hell of a deal.
Contagion is a film that is tense and chilling--a convincingly unnerving acting, a close-perfect music, a discordant shady imagery, and the thought that what you can't see, can kill you. One hell of a blast! 3.5 stars!
Contagion is Tense and Chilling.
