Info Post
In an article I've read in a not so early past; I learned that Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven; Contagion) is retiring off his career as a director. With a total 23 films since the 1980's that left us entertained; and with this one, 'Haywire'; Soderbergh is sure to leave the industry with such memorable material.

Mallory Kane is a highly-skilled, seeded from years of training, operative who is working for a government institution. She is only moments away in finding out that she has been double-crossed and left for dead by the people close to her, and the people who are in the same agency as her. She is determined to find out the truth, if she wants to stay alive.

Let me get to the point. Gina Carano is not a good actress. Yet. And with my not-so-sorry-eavesdropping pair of ears, I've heard some negative words for her. However, to me it's different. I understand fully that she is an MMA superstar, maybe she ain't good enough, yet, in the big screen, but c'mon help the sister out. Go easy on her. With such a powerful cast that lists Channing Tatum (Eagle); Ewan McGregor; and Michael Angarano; of certainty I wouldn't miss to mention such fun actors: Antonio Banderas and Michael Douglas, punchy editing, superb and skillful direction, the blemishes of the film collectively, felt tolerable.

To cut the story short: Haywire is a fun, action-filled, gripping action. The film ended up a sly and slick-looking movie with the help of a skillful director, a pack of ferocious acting skills, and some gritty writing and editing, outshining the faded acting of the MMA superstar newcomer. 4 stars.
