Info Post
Fresh news on the much awaited sequel of The Avengers.

Disney, distributor to cinema's third top-grossing movie of all time, recently announced that Avengers 2 will open on theaters May 1, 2015.

Avengers 2 is seemingly walking in the bright alley as prime filmmaker Joss Whedon has finally confirmed to have signed a contract with Marvel through 2015. This means that the man will have many work done, and possibly even outside of The Avengers 2, a sequel with which he is attached as director and screenwriter.

The first film, also made with him on the director's chair, while Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) on the script, grossed $1.46 billion worldwide.

Some other news from the Marvel universe will follow.

As spilled over the blogosphere, Iron Man 3 is actually pushed to release in May 3rd next year. This is due to a slight delay in production because Downey, Jr. had a minute injury on his ankle.

Marvel, seemingly full-blown in the following years will have the following films opened in theaters. A sequel to Thor will open in November 8, 2012; and the sequel for Captain America, "The Winter Soldier" was announced to release in April 4 the following year. Guardians of the Galaxy, while locked in the release date August 1st of the same year as Captain America's, still has the "Wanted: Director" poster hanging around its neck. You can read about the full story, announced via Comic-Con 2012, here.
