Action fans are in state of disability to breathe until The Expendables 2 is released worldwide, a giga-prod with an all-star cast including Sylvester Stallone, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many more.
Apparently, Schwarzenegger who reprises his role in the movie as mercenary Trench, will also star in a crime thriller called The Last Stand.
The pic, worked on behind-cam by Korean director Jee-woon Kim (I Saw the Devil, A Tale of Two Sisters), is about a sheriff (Schwarzenegger) who tries to stop a drug cartel speeding through the Mexican border.
With a script written by Andrew Knauer and cinematography by Ji-Yong Kim (A Bittersweet Life), The Last Stand is looking like an excellent addition to Schwarzenegger's lead-starring projects. He will be joined by Genesis Rodriguez (Man on a Ledge) and Jaimie Alexander (Thor).
The movie will open in US theaters January 18, 2013.
A poster for the movie was recently released and featured Arnold sporting the usual sheriff attire, gripping a pistol in his hand and wearing the "you don't mess with this badass" pose. Head inside for the poster.
