Robert Rodriguez's Frank Miller's Sin City was a humble success that a sequel was unexpected but has been a demand for many years now. The eye-candy by Tarantino buddy Rodriguez is on its early stages of development.
One of the many richly textured characters in the movie, Marv (played by Mickey Rourke), is said to return to the 2014 sequel. Rourke is now in negotiations with filmmakers.
Although the character clearly died in the movie, director Robert Rodriguez seemed to have better plans for Marv than just rotting in the grave. The movie plots "Dwight McCarthy planing to have his vengeance against the woman who betrayed him, Ava Lord, while Nancy is trying to cope with Hartigan’s death.”
Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba and Clive Owen are confirmed to be returning. Devon Aoki (Miho from the film) is rumored to reprise her role, and Angelina Jolie is heavily rumored to join the cast.
