A trailer that will be internationally shown in theaters for the new disaster movie The Impossible was released recently.
Set in Thailand, in 2004, the pic stars Ewan McGregor (The Ghost Writer) and Naomi Watts (King Kong) as Henry and Maria. Couple who alongside their sons are trapped in a beach resort by a raging tsunami.
McGregor has been an interesting actor, and recently has delivered some great performances (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Haywire comes into mind early) while Watts can fit the same description, she was assigned in a couple of worse movies (painfully tedious Dream House and troubled J. Edgar).
Juan Antonio Bayona directs the disaster-drama pic with Sergio G. Sanchez ran the script. The two worked together in a Spanish horror back in 2007, The Orphanage, working as their respective titles. Orphanage was an arguably engaging pic, and it clues out what you can expect with Bayona's latest.
The flick will reach the big screen due December 21st this year. Check out the trailer below.
