The ending of The Dark Knight Rises concludes the involvement of director Christopher Nolan in Batman movies. With his iconic take on the caped crusader, fanboys are finding ways to start up rumors on how Batman is going to reappear in the DC cinematic universe, or just reappear at all.
There's one rumor that Joseph Gordon-Levitt (playing Blake in the movie) could continue Batman's legacy and star as a lead, in continuity to the trilogy's story (of course will be helm-ed by a different director now). It could work, but we luckily have one more option as DC finally shows eagerness to create a Justice League film and is in official primary development stages.
The movie will have iconic superheroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Batman in an epic ensemble. This means, one way or another, we will get to see Batman in the next few years.
Justice League was reportedly in talks with The Town director Ben Affleck, who already have turned down the job. The Wachowskis (Matrix) is currently leading on the directors short list. The superhero epic has officially had its script written by Gangster Squad screenwriter Will Beal, and is hoped to get seen due 2015.
As with Batman's reappearance, Batman-on-Film reports that WB is in fact ready to take on the Justice League movie and thereafter develop a standalone Batman one.
How do you guys want to see Batman again? Gordon-Levitt plays him and continues Nolan's story, or take faith on what's WB is planning to do? You can drop them comments below.
