Kathtyn Bigelow revisits the Middle East years after her Oscar-sweeper The Hurt Locker was scheduled for shooting. This time around, Bigelow won't settle for suspenseful bombings but will show in cinematic the secret missions that got the 9/11 bomber Osama Bin Laden killed.
The movie, focused on the ops in pursuit of the terrorist's takedown, will be attaching Academy Award-winning screenwriter Mark Boal (who she also worked with The Hurt Locker, bringing home a total of six awards) and cast that includes Jessica Chastain; Joel Edgerton, actor from the recent Warrior with Tom Hardy; one of the Duplass brothers; Mark Strong; and many likable stars.
The casting crew does an excellent job in casting and will definitely simmer to an intriguing result. Zero Dark Thirty, probably weighing heavyweight over The Hurt Locker in terms of casting (but look at Jeremy Renner's career now? And Anthony Mackie too?) will be open in US theaters December 19th!
PREDICTION: MIGHT HIT
