The silent development of the seventh appearance of TCM, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is finally reaching screens, Rated R. Bloody-Disgusting tells it officially, the Lionsgate prod "has been rated “R” by the MPAA for “strong, grisly violence and language throughout.” Anything less would be unacceptable."
Here here to that.
John Luessenhop takes on the directing job, which worries me a little. Luessenhop did the crime action Takers, an okay pic if only not too derivative. But years back he did Lockdown (not the Guy Pearce movie), a better flick with the same issues but boasts an ample amount of authenticity.
The pic will run on a screenplay by Kristen Elms based on an initial script by Stephen Susco (The Grudge). It will put on Alexandra Daddario (Annabeth from Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief) as the lead. She was to be found via Bereavement, a mind-bending pic in which she is excellent evenly.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, a direct sequel to the classic 1974 film, is due on theaters January 4, 2013 and will be focusing on Heather, who tries to collect an inheritance in Texas. Unbeknownst to her, notorious terrorizing serial killer Leatherface comes with the package. And a bonus item: Leatherface is family.
