Info Post
An on-and-off relationship with movie rights like what is happening with Stephen King's movie adaptation of The Dark Tower, usually ends up never happening. And though we are remained hopeful that the pic will still happen, we have echoing concerns that it might not just happen--at all--in the future.

Apparently, Warner Bros. passes the movie rights to Media Rights Capital, after a time of dribbling ever since Universal threw the ball to them. Media Rights Capital however, says that they are eager in developing the long-delayed pic and are fond of the infamous King novel series. Warner Bros. remained silent about why they said no to the potential movie adaptation.

Ron Howard (The Da Vinci Code) was expected to direct. With him, King and Brian Grazer (American Gangster) producing. Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend) already had submitted his latest draft of the first installment (should this be greenlighted, we'll have ourselves a franchise). Russell Crowe (Cast Away) already had shown interest in playing Ronald Deschain, that is if Warner had pursued the project.

The pic follows Ronald Deschain, a man in search of a mysterious tower in a mission to give his dying world salvation.

Howard and Grazer would have pursued a three-part movie series and a two-part TV movie spectacle (hoped to be on HBO), but since Warner have officially passed, we are likely to go to another completely different direction.

In the event that we're once again in this position, do you think The Dark Tower will ever be made? Like ever? Tell us your thoughts below. We'd love to hear them.
