Info Post
No surprise, that Amityville movies are continuously growing since its initial release '79, a new entry to its exponentially growing franchise is set to open for public soon and is reported to use "found footage" gimmick.

Even the shaky-camera biz is not a new thing anymore, as the prior adaptation in 2011 also used the same technique. The Amityville Haunting tells the story of a family who moves in the "house" and starts to witness the haunting for themselves. This 2011 shocker is set in June 2008.

Haunted houses, being a staple to the genre, The Amityville Horror movies are following a path that holds no surprise: it goes on and on, and now a tenth Amityville-inspired is approaching fast.

1979, the original movie, was inspired by a bestseller with title The Amityville Horror: A True Story by Jay Anson which told the story of Lutz's, who moved in a house in 112 Ocean Drive, Long Island, which house had been a venue for a mass murder, executed by Ronald DeFoe, Jr., killing all his family members. These murders are allegedly the cause of eventually the haunting that the Lutz's will experience in the house.

There were already nine versions of the original film, including the recent remake starring Ryan Reynolds.

No names are attached as director but producer Tony DeRosa-Grund is eager to "mount" the film finally, and will tell the movie based on two reporter's experience in the process of the case's investigation.

The found-footage technique didn't seem to work on The Amityville Haunting, but an easy hypothesis is to say that it's because of the late setting; this approaching found footage proj will be set in 1976 (not 2008, unlike Haunting), one year after the incident.

Shall the horror be buried alive? Or is it clever to bring it back to life one more round? You can always head in the comments and let me know.
