After running for four movies, the Scary Movie franchise is ready to set sail on its much awaited sequel. Beware fans, the movie will not be about Cindy Campbell (Anna Farris) anymore, but will be centered on a different set of characters.
Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen is set to star in the fifth movie which was reported to be a complete reboot of the series. Viewers already knew that Sheen had died due to Viagra overdose in the fourth Scary Movie, unfortunately falling off of the veranda of his flat. But the filmmakers, after insisting a total reboot, Sheen will be alive in complete flesh as a totally different character.
Other new actors like Ashley Tisdale and Erica Ash are expected to come on screen, while revisiting from old cast members like Regina Hall, Kevin Hart and Anthony Anderson (funniest people of the franchise in my own opinion) are heavily rumored.
Opening in theaters January 11th next year, the movie will spoof Paranormal Activity, Black Swan and Rise of the Planet of the Apes unlike prior rumors telling that the movie will retool Final Destination.
