Info Post

The long-talked about sequel to David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is still in the works, but won't happen in 2013.

Based on the Steig Larsson's bestselling Millenium trilogy, the last year's Dragon Tattoo is about a journalist (Daniel Craig) and an expert hacker (Rooney Mara) who end up allies in solving a mysterious murder. In the sequel The Girl Who Played With Fire, Lisbeth will then be suspect to a couple of murders.

EW reports that a very close source tells them that screenplay writer Steven Zaillian is still trying to figure out things for the script, and the movie won't take another step forward unless a script is finally settled. Despite this, filmmakers seem to have sincere intentions to make the follow-up happen.

If this will make some people feel lighter, Played With Fire is still likely to happen but not until a script is finished. We here on Film Police will tell you more as we hear a couple of other news.

Stay close.
