Info Post

'The Day' seems like is the type of film that lies on a familiar territory: a dark and chilling setting, a cast of beautiful people to attract the younger age, plus a formulaic narrative is equivalent to a...familiar premise.

Despite, director Douglas Aarniokoski ('Once Upon a Time in Mexico') seemed to have something in store for the masses. The trailer for the movie is invitingly bizarre in its own merits that it does present. Shawn Ashmore, the Iceman of the Bryan Singer X-Men movies, stars in this thriller and so is Michael Eklund, Hugh in 'House of the Dead'.

Both of them actors were already known to have starred in some claustrophobic thrillers (generally and critically): Ashmore, in a dystopian 'The Ruins' and a psycho-driven 'Mother's Day'; Eklund, in yet another under the former category, 'The Divide'. They both present acts that are above satisfaction, and prior to this trailer, they are bound to present more.

Set in a world where an unexplained disease was spread, a group of five youthful survivors find themselves in a venue where chaos is relentlessly ensued and the options are only two: fight or die.

There is something to note about 'The Day' that is presumably horrible, but then you must admit that it may have something in store. That is, of course, ignoring the 'WWE Studios' logo in the end.

Head inside for the trailer.
