Carrie has always been a personal pick in the horror genre so once the development blows up about the remake, I've had to clear some space in my blog. This time around, we get to see Chloe Moretz reinventing the iconic bloody prom dress. Entertainment Weekly has got the exclusive first-look captured in photo. Head below for the pic.
The remake will have Moretz playing the lead Carrie White, a vengeful teentweenie who discovers the strength of his telekinetic powers, and to everyone's horror, uses them to plot revenge on her evil classmates. Julienne Moore is also on the cast, playing the molesting mother of Carrie.
Kimberly Pierce is director to this anticipated Screen Gems remake to the genre. This 2012 reinvention is reported to be a "more character-focused" Carrie when compared with the 1976 Brian De Palma (Carlito's Way) version.
Also starring Judy Greer (The Descendants) and Alex Russell (star of Chronicle and the upcoming shark movie, Bait 3D).
With all the names attached--especially Moretz who already appeared in an astounding horror remake Let Me In--we here in Film Police are much enthusiastic in looking forward to this horror event. The pic is set to be received in US theaters March 13th next year.
