Info Post
One of the likable things about the Spider-Man reboot 'The Amazing Spider-Man' is that it involves Peter Parker very well in the story line. More accentuated with the help of indie-spirited director Marc Webb (he certainly proved that his last name is no pun, because he really did a great job in this).

A sequel was already loaded a year before TASM hit the theaters; the filmmakers, seemingly easily foretold to themselves the end result of the Spidey reboot.

Marc Webb, who is also rumored to take on a Fox production called 'Age of Rages', may have contractual conflicts (him directing the second TASM movie). But, possibilities always arise provoking worries that Webb might also follow Gary Ross, who freely had called "off" to 'The Hunger Games' sequel, 'Catching Fire'.

If Marc Webb really does take on the Fox project, we are sadly going to see TASM under a new director. If he does favorably take on the 'The Amazing Spider-Man' sequel, we can only hope that he will balance cinematic direction and indie-storytelling better, exactly what both comic book fans will swoon over for.

In my own, I think Marc Webb if ever will intently leave the franchise just because a second movie will require hyper-cinematic storytelling, something he doesn't really seem to be comfortable with.

For official news, the script, already in the process of 'Fringe' writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, is a rework of an initial draft by James Vanderbilt ('Zodiac' and 'The Losers'). The sequel has no official plot yet but is confirmed to have a 2014 theatrical release. Producers Avi Arad and Matthew Tolmach already teased that the sequel might crossover with the Avengers-theme, but is least likely to happen, for the time being, that is.

Now that TASM2 is already on, will you dig Webb as a returning director? You can always drop your thoughts below!
