I'm quite happy with the development of the remake for Carrie, especially with Julianne Moore (Silence of the Lambs) and Chloe Moretz (Let Me In) in the cast. It's only a plus that the promotion is kind of amusing; before we landed on set photos dissipated through Instagram, and now, via facebook, we land on more viral photos.

Kimberly Pierce, director to dramas Stop Loss and Boys Don't Cry, is now director to the remake of the Stephen King novel.

Set to open in theaters March 13th next year, the pic will talk about a young girl who discovers a mean to make vengeance to her high school bullies as soon as she finds out her telekinesis powers. The movie is set to bring havoc with the help of Chloe Moretz (Let Me In, (500) Days of Summer), Academy Award-nominee Julianne Moore (Hannibal) and Judy Greer (The Descendants) as lead stars. Chronicle star Alex Russell additionally stars a supporting role.
