Tom Hiddleston instantaneously became addition to fanboy radars (including mine) with his estimable portrayal of Loki, brother villain of Thor. Since, we find him in a post-war drama The Deep Blue Sea, a movie which basically shone light to Rachel Weisz's prowess in the craft, but one can't deny that Hiddleston's performance is one of the pics foundation too. Most recently, he comes back as Loki, as The Avengers were assembled for a cinematic premiere.
He's recently signed to a film by Joanna Hogg, temporarily nicknamed as "London Project" as the project is still untitled. Hogg is the director of Archipelago, a critically well-received family drama pic; and Unrelated, a woman's getaway from her unhappy middle-life -- both films starred Hiddleston. "London Project" is Hogg and Hiddleston's third project together. Hogg tells THR, "I continue to be fascinated by the blurred line between the comic and the horrendous - but depicting this in an ordinary, everyday context which is closer to home, and therefore more terrifying."
Under Brit film co, BBC Films and Rooks Nest Entertainment, the pic will start shooting in London in the next six weeks. Besides Hogg's description of the pic, and that she sits on director's chair, and that Hiddleston is going to be in it too, remaining details are still under wraps.
Tom Hiddleston is Loki yet again with the Thor sequel - Thor: The Dark World. He's also signed to playing a vampire pic titled Only Lovers Left Alive and a crime thriller Black Wings Has My Angel. More on Hiddleston as we hear more, and more about Hogg's "London Project" as development progresses.
